I haven’t had to purchase any Christmas plates for kids yet, but I’ve been thinking that I should get one for my daughter. She’s old enough now that she feels it’s necessary to have her very own spoon and bowl, but she’s still young enough that she hasn’t quite learned the nuances of eating just yet!
Even though she probably won’t remember this Holiday season, we are a family that loves to celebrate through decorations. And when you’re little, it’s always fun to know that you have your very own special dinnerware that you can use year after year. This is what cherished childhood memories are made of. I had my own Christmas dinner plate when I was a child, and I remember it being an essential part of each Christmas.
So that’s where we find ourselves today. I’m on a mission, now. That mission is to find a great Christmas-themed plate just for her.
My criteria are straightforward: It must be durable, and it must be fun. No serene scenes of cabins nestled between large evergreens and snowbanks here because kids want fun!
With that in mind, I started looking today for some ideas. Consequently, I’ve found three plate sets that I think kids would love! I wanted to showcase a variety because I know everyone has different tastes. Especially kids.
Malange 12pc Christmas Tree Collection
Pfaltzgraff Jolly Santa Children's Set
Dicksons Children's Nativity Dish Set
These plates fit the bill. These three Christmas plates for kids (or sets, really) are all made of durable materials and have fun prints. My favorite is the Rudolph set – it’s going on the top of my list this year! I loved watching the show when I was young. It’s another little bit of nostalgia I can pass on to my little girl.
